In 2007, DST will last four weeks
longer than it had previously; in 2008, it will be five weeks
longer. The pattern of extending DST is part of the Energy Policy
Act of 2005. The U.S. may make the decision to revert back to
the old DST standards if the DST extension is not successful. The
